Who is the manual handling course aimed at?
Our manual handling training course, meets the needs of anyone lifting or carrying loads at work.
The course translates across all working sectors, all age groups, and forms part of the employers health and safety statutory requirement.
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 apply to a wide range of manual handling activities, including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying.
The load may be either inanimate – such as a box or a trolley, or animate – a person or an animal.
Our guidance gives useful, practical advice for employers, managers, safety representatives and individual attendees, on how to reduce the risk of injury from manual handling.
What will I gain from this course?
Attendees will complete the course with an understanding of the regulations as well as practical knowledge of lifting and moving.
They will be able to identify potential hazards and risks and determine the safest method of manual handling, without injury.
Managers and supervisors will be able to assess whether their work force are using current, safe working manual handling techniques.
As this is a half-day course, we can combine this course with any of our other half day courses such as Fire Safety or CPR Training
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, applies to all workplaces regardless of the number of employees and requires employers to provide adequate training in fire awareness for all members of their staff. This should be given at induction and in the event of an incident and if anything changes in the workplace.
Your First Aid Safety Training Ltd’s fire safety training course is aimed at all attendees to assist them in identifying and reducing the risk that fire presents in the workplace.
